    Robert Half is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer for our client out of downtown San Francisco, California. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be expected to use your vast experience and skills to manage and maintain IT solutions for our team. This Sr. Systems Engineer position is a hybrid remote and onsite position and is a long-term contract to fulltime role.     Responsibilities:

    • Administer VMWare ESXi and vCenter with a high level of proficiency.
    • Handle Windows Endpoint system configuration, operating system upgrades, hardware & software support, Active Directory, GPO Administration, IIS, DNS, and Power shell scripting.
    • Manage Office 365, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Defender for Office 365, Teams, Teams voice services, Intune, and other O365 workloads.
    • Oversee Security components such as Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, and Entra ID Premium.
    • Implement cloud security controls, Data Loss Prevention, Purview, and understanding of Litigation Hold, Retention, and eDiscovery.
    • Provide messaging and collaboration solutions utilizing Exchange and Office 365.
    • Handle on-premises Active Directory, GPOs, and on-premises Active Directory migrations to M365.
    • Manage Azure and Intune.
    • Provide email protection and security leveraging Mimecast.
    • Administer SQL Server and backup jobs, and conduct annual DR testing.
    • Work flexibly, sometimes during evenings and weekends, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • The applicant should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the Systems Engineering
    • Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is required.
    • Experience with VMware is required.
    • Must have a strong understanding of Cloud Technologies.
    • Familiarity with DELL EMC Technologies and Dell Technologies is important.
    • The applicant should have experience in AB Testing.
    • Active Directory skills are necessary.
    • Automation skills are a significant part of the job role.
    • Proficiency in AWS Technologies is required.
    • Backup Technologies expertise is necessary.
    • Experience with Azure Active Directory is important.
    • The applicant must be familiar with popular software products.
    • Knowledge of Azure is essential.
    • Proficiency in Office 365 is required.
