    Established California firm is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team in Oakland, California. In this role, you will be primarily supporting with labor and employment matters.


    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee case management from inception through and post-trial or settlement

    • Draft, review, and revise legal documents as necessary

    • Maintain and update case files, charts, and indices

    • Manage and support witness summaries and document productions

    • Assist with deposition and hearing preparation, including identifying and gathering exhibit documents and creating witness outlines

    • Cite-check briefs, ensuring both legal and factual citations are accurate

    • Assist with document review and coordinate with the Litigation Support Group for back-end database management

    • Utilize case management software to maintain accurate customer credit records

    • Utilize legal research skills to support the Labor and Employment Group

    • Utilize Adobe Acrobat for document management and eDiscovery tools for electronic data management

    • Be responsible for maintaining a reliable and punctual schedule.

    • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat
    • Experience with Case Management Software
    • Understanding of Billing Functions within a legal context
    • Ability to conduct Briefing sessions effectively
    • Proficiency in Calendar Management
    • Familiarity with Ediscovery process and tools
    • Knowledge of Employment Law
    • Understanding of Municipal Laws
    • Strong Legal Research skills
