We are in search of a Membership Specialist to join our team operating within the Government industry in Oakland, California. The Membership Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and updating our membership database, handling membership applications, and resolving membership-related issues. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately update and maintain the local database
• Efficiently process membership applications, revocations, and terminations
• Manage union dues, adjustments, COPE deductions and other related information
• Utilize Microsoft Outlook for effective internal and external communications
• Collaborate with field representatives to address membership-related issues
• Identify inconsistencies in membership data and take corrective actions
• Regularly liaise and cooperate with the supervisor to handle membership matters
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of membership data and reports
• Prepare detailed reports on membership status, updates, terminations and other relevant matters
• Comply with union policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Expertise in using Microsoft Office Suites to create, edit, and manage documents
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Outlook for efficient email and calendar management
• Ability to use Microsoft Word for detail oriented document creation and editing
• Familiarity with About Time for project management and time tracking
• Experience in Calendar Management for scheduling and organizing meetings
• Strong skills in handling Correspondence with internal and external stakeholders
• Comfortable working with C-Suite executives and understanding their requirements
• Proficiency in creating, maintaining, and managing Documentation for reference and record-keeping.
