We are offering a contract for a Payroll Specialist position in Oakdale, California. The selected candidate will play a key role in managing our payroll system, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll for our team members. This role falls within the industry and requires specific skills such as proficiency in ADP Workforce Now, 401k,, handling Payroll for 101 - 500 Employees, understanding of Payroll Functions, and the ability to Process Payroll.
Responsibilities:
• Administer payroll semimonthly for a team of approximately 230 employees.
• Maintain and document employee payroll records, including status changes, new hires, transfers, and terminations.
• Ensure accurate taxation and deductions for employee 401K and other benefit programs.
• Resolve employee inquiries regarding payroll matters professionally and promptly.
• Manage electronic payments and distribution of physical payroll checks for the organization's employees.
• Oversee the onboarding process for new employees and manage the paperwork.
• Perform payroll reconciliations and generate payroll reports as needed.
• Monitor and manage paid time off (PTO) tracking and address missed meals in accordance with labor law regulations.
• Assist in auditing payrolls, payroll balance sheets, year-to-date earnings, etc.
• Review timecards for inconsistencies or discrepancies and take corrective action when necessary.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role
• Proficient in using ADP Workforce Now software
• Experience in 401k
• Capable of handling payroll for 101 - 500 employees
• Demonstrated knowledge of various payroll functions
• Ability to process payroll accurately and efficiently
