    We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Grants Manager in the industry, located in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. The successful candidate will be entrusted with overseeing compliance for a diverse portfolio of public grants and contracts, serving as a critical liaison between leadership, directors, and grant funding sources.


    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and ensure compliance for a portfolio of publicly funded grants and contracts.

    • Serve as a liaison between various internal teams and grant funding sources.

    • Provide direct support to the team, ensuring vouchers are submitted in a timely manner and in compliance with contract terms.

    • Guide budget development and monitor grant and contractual compliance.

    • Assist in voucher reconciliation, funder reporting, and contract progress.

    • Create and maintain a comprehensive grant calendar for ongoing internal and external communication regarding progress and areas of improvement.

    • Develop and implement organizational practices and processes for documenting grant information and activities, including audits.

    • Review grant award packets in consultation with senior staff and provide expertise on grant compliance.

    • Manage accounts and login credentials for government online portals/systems.

    • Review grant proposals and agreements to understand the terms and conditions of the grant.

    • Ensure that the use of grant funds is in compliance with the stipulations set forth by the grantor.

    • Prepare schedules that include each grant life cycle, grantor, federal and local revenue, and all other pertinent information.

    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in grant management or a related field
    • Demonstrated proficiency in government grants, grant accounting, and grant administration
    • Strong knowledge and experience with federal grant and foundation grants
    • Proven expertise in grant management and grant writing
    • Experience in maintaining contract compliance
    • Proficiency in using Blackbaud and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT software
    • Experience in fund accounting, specifically within a non-profit context.
