We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Network Support Specialist for our client in North Palm Beach, Florida. The chosen candidate will be deeply involved in the daily operations and strategic direction of our department's communications and information systems.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical advice, assistance, and training to department employees.
• Ensure control of software licensing in collaboration with the information systems staff.
• Execute network cable running and installation of network jacks to facilitate PCs' connection to the network.
• Ensure phone cable running and installation of phone jacks for new phones to connect to our PBX.
• Manage troubleshooting of phone and voicemail issues.
• Setup new phone extensions and voicemail for new employees.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and quarterly network data backups to secure data.
• Install, configure, and maintain PC workstations, laptops, and software applications for end-users.
• Provide end-user application and hardware support.
• Install and configure security cameras and DVR equipment at facilities.
• Perform troubleshooting of security cameras and DVR equipment.
• Assist with police dispatching when necessary.
• Setup and provide support for the Emergency Operations Center for Public Safety during emergencies.
• Provide support for the library computer lab, including wireless network equipment.
• Offer training to end-users on new software as needed.
• Collaborate with the I.T. Director to determine equipment and human resource requirements for all departments.
• Maintain recording equipment for 911, Police Radio System, Non-Emergency phone lines in dispatch, council chambers, village hall conference room, etc.
• Setup Video Projector for training, presentations, etc.
• Install printers and scanners and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
