We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant based in Norfolk, Virginia. The individual in this role will be tasked with providing comprehensive administrative support, serving as the first point of contact for the department, and diligently handling various clerical tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to staff and assist with various programs
• Handle the processing of daily PO transactions.
• Serve as the receptionist, receiving visitors, and managing the telephone system, including transferring calls with efficiency and confidence.
• Take responsibility for scanning documents, indexing, and maintaining accurate customer credit records.
• Assist outside customers, routing them to the appropriate person when necessary.
• Manage mail distribution, time stamping, and distributing incoming bids.
• Use personal computer and software programs for the preparation of reports and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Display excellent customer service skills, handling inbound and outbound calls, and email correspondence with professionalism.
• Utilize Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) in the execution of duties.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
