We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Newburyport, Massachusetts, United States. This role involves the utilization of various accounting software systems and requires skills in account coding, ERP, and ADP financial services. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be working in a dynamic team environment and will be responsible for various accounting functions.

Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner
• Maintain precise records of all customer credit transactions
• Resolve inquiries from customers promptly and professionally
• Monitor customer accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and take necessary actions if discrepancies arise
• Utilize accounting software systems such as Concur and ERP for efficient management of accounts
• Perform account coding duties as part of the accounting process
• Handle automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and ensure they are processed correctly
• Carry out accrual accounting tasks as required
• Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of financial data
• Perform other accounting functions as needed to support the team's objectives.

• Proficiency in Account Coding is mandatory.
• Familiarity with various Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential.
• Proficiency in using Concur for expense management is necessary.
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is crucial.
• Must have a strong understanding of Accounting Functions.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is a must.
• Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles is required.
• Auditing skills are essential for this role.
• Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions is necessary.
