Prominent New York City organization is currently seeking a diligent Payroll Administrator to join their team in New York. In this role, you'll be primarily responsible for managing the payroll of over 250 employees across multiple states. This role is crucial to ensure the smooth and accurate processing of payroll and maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the bi-monthly payroll for over 250 employees.
• Ensure accurate payroll records and employee data.
• Handle payroll inquiries from employees and resolve any issues promptly.
• Keep up-to-date with multistate payroll laws and regulations.
• Work closely with the HR and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Monitor and review payroll processes and systems for efficiency and improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection laws and standards.
• Generate payroll reports for internal and statutory purposes.
• Assist in payroll-related audits as needed.
• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration
• Experience with bi-monthly payroll processing is required
• Proven track record of managing payroll for 100 - 500 employees
• Familiarity with handling multistate payroll is a necessity
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
• High degree of professionalism and ability to work with sensitive information
• Strong work ethic and team player mentality
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field is required
