We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer in the tech industry, based in New York. You will be playing a key role in our team, focusing on the design of our buyer-facing and brand/dealership-facing products. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining our design system and collaborating with backend engineers to implement designs.

Responsibilities:
• Leading the design efforts for our customer-oriented products
• Ensuring the evolution and maintenance of our design system while upholding high UI/UX standards
• Collaborating closely with backend engineers to bring functional, pixel-perfect designs to life
• Building and maintaining reusable component libraries for front-end use
• Prototyping and specifying new features with a focus on functionality and aesthetics
• Leveraging JavaScript, TypeScript, and React or similar frontend frameworks in the design process
• Utilizing Figma for design systems and prototyping
• Applying knowledge of frontend best practices and performance optimization
• Employing Cypress or similar testing tools, where necessary, to ensure design quality.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript is essential
• Demonstrable experience using React.js for front-end development is required
• A strong understanding of UI/UX design principles is necessary
• Familiarity with Figma for design creation and collaboration is expected
• Experience with Cypress for end-to-end testing is a plus
