    Position Overview:

    Staff Accountant plays a critical role in the day-to-day financial operations of an organization. This position is responsible for managing key aspects of accounting, such as maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and has a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
    • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Account Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card activity, and other financial accounts regularly.
    • Month-End and Year-End Close: Assist in the preparation and execution of month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Accounts Payable/Receivable Support: Process invoices, monitor payments, and follow up on outstanding balances, when needed.
    • Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors by providing all necessary documentation and reconciliations during audits.
    • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure that all financial transactions comply with relevant laws and regulations, maintaining organized and accurate records.
    • Budget Assistance: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, analyzing variances as needed.
    • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.




    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • CPA certification (or progress toward obtaining it) is preferred.
    • 1-3 years of accounting experience in a similar role.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
    • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate across teams.
