As a Staff Accountant, your primary role will encompass the management of accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, overseeing billing processes, and handling inventory and general ledger duties. You will also be responsible for making journal entries and ensuring the month-end close process is completed efficiently.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage the accounts payable and receivable functions
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
• Manage billing processes, ensuring all invoices are sent out in a timely manner
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory record and assess inventory needs
• Handle general ledger duties to ensure accurate financial tracking
• Make accurate journal entries as required
• Ensure the month-end close process is completed efficiently and accurately
• Utilize Sage Software and QuickBooks for financial management and accounting tasks
• Understand and adhere to construction accounting principles and practices
