We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role involves ensuring our financial operations run smoothly. You will be expected to manage vendor profiles, handle invoice processing, and maintain accurate records. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:
• Set up and maintain vendor profiles, ensuring all necessary information is accurately recorded
• Address and resolve any inquiries or issues related to vendor payments
• Enter and code both recurring and one-time expense invoices to the correct account and period
• Ensure all payments are made in a timely manner, taking advantage of any available discounts
• Verify the authorization and accuracy of all charges, liaising with vendors over any unusual charges
• Handle inventory invoices, matching them to packing slips and/or receiving documents
• Resolve any discrepancies in inventory invoices, escalating any unresolved issues
• Process payments after receiving approval, reviewing all invoices for completeness
• Maintain the check register, ensuring all information is up to date and accurate
• Mail checks as required, prioritizing urgent payments
• Confirm freight costs and cost direct invoices for billing on a daily basis.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, vital for maintaining accurate records
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP), essential for managing outgoing payments
• Ability to perform Check Runs, ensuring timely payment to suppliers
• Experience in Coding Invoices, vital for accurate financial record keeping
• Strong Data Entry skills, necessary for updating and maintaining financial databases
• Proficiency in Invoice Processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, necessary for data management and reporting.
