    We are in search of a diligent and efficient Legal Secretary to join our team in the legal industry, located in McLean, Virginia, 22102, United States. As a Legal Secretary, you will be essential in providing administrative and legal support to attorneys in our law firm, focusing on residential and commercial real estate, tax law, estate planning, and business law.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and manage attorneys' schedules, including setting up meetings and arranging court dates and deadlines.
    • Ensure all legal documents are filed with courthouses accurately and within stipulated deadlines.
    • Take responsibility for maintaining and organizing both physical and electronic case files while guaranteeing confidentiality.
    • Manage all forms of incoming and outgoing communications, such as phone calls, emails, and traditional mail.
    • Act as the point of contact between attorneys, clients, courts, and other external parties.
    • Assist with the preparation of pleadings, including making necessary edits and revisions as per the attorney's instructions.
    • Carry out other administrative tasks as needed to support the legal team efficiently.

    • Proficiency in answering multi-line phone systems, demonstrating excellent communication skills.

    • Familiarity with law office procedures, operations, and protocols.

    • Proven experience in law practice, preferably in the area of estate law.

    • Proficient in dictation, demonstrating strong listening skills and attention to detail.

    • Certification as a Notary Public or willingness to obtain such certification.

    • Experience in dealing with witnesses, demonstrating sensitivity and professionalism.

    • Knowledge of estate law, including estate planning, estate sales, and estate tax.

    • Ability to manage and coordinate estate planning activities.

    • Experience in handling estate sales, demonstrating strong negotiation and sales skills.

    • Understanding of estate tax laws and regulations.
