We are offering an opportunity for a meticulous Payroll Clerk to become part of our team situated in Los Angeles, California. This role entails the management of payroll processes for our workforce in a busy construction environment. This is a long-term contract employment opportunity that will involve dealing with union workers and collective bargaining agreements.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee and carry out the payroll processes efficiently and promptly.
• Address and manage payroll-related inquiries from construction and union workers.
• Utilize accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, Dayforce, and About Time for payroll processing.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of worker payroll records.
• Handle accounts payable (AP) and other accounting functions related to payroll.
• Execute auditing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll.
• Manage benefit functions related to payroll.
• Adapt and respond to the dynamic nature of a construction site environment.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth payroll operations during the absence of regular staff.
• Engage and liaise with union representatives understanding collective bargaining agreements.

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Payroll Clerk role or similar
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience in using ADP - Financial Services
• Knowledgeable about ADP Workforce Now
• Familiarity with Ceridian and Dayforce software
• Experience with About Time is advantageous
• Ability to perform Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Auditing skills are essential
• Experience in managing Benefit Functions
