    Responsibilities

    • Supervision & Leadership: Provide daily leadership and supervision to a team of 14 patient registration staff, including monitoring individual performance, fostering professional growth, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
    • Workflow Management: Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the patient registration process, from pre-registration and admission to insurance verification and payment collection.
    • Training & Development: Develop and implement training programs for staff to ensure they stay current on policies, systems, and procedures.
    • Compliance: Ensure all registration activities comply with organizational policies, HIPAA regulations, and other applicable laws and guidelines.
    • Patient-Centered Service: Promote a welcoming environment by ensuring compassionate, empathetic, and timely service to all patients and families.
    • Problem-Solving: Resolve escalated patient concerns, disputes, or operational challenges promptly and effectively.
    • Reporting & Metrics: Monitor and analyze KPIs (e.g., registration accuracy, wait times, and staff productivity) and provide regular performance reports to hospital leadership.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in hospital registration, patient access, or a healthcare setting.
    • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Technical Skills: Familiarity with hospital registration software (e.g., EPIC) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Knowledge: Strong understanding of payer contracts, insurance verification, and healthcare billing practices.
    • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with an ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, and leadership.
