We are seeking a Communication Specialist/Media Relations in Los Angeles, California. As a Communication Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for coordinating, producing, and executing communication efforts and activities. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity and will involve working on-site.
Responsibilities
• Coordinating, producing, and executing communication efforts and activities related to the organization.
• Creating, developing, and implementing all phases and elements of a robust communication plan.
• Ensuring outcomes and communication products are aligned with the organization's brand.
• Supporting a culture of community awareness, transparency, and constituent engagement.
• Creating, editing, and publishing a variety of communication materials, both traditional and digital.
• Using Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, to create visually compelling content.
• Utilizing a content management system to manage and update digital content.
• Planning and executing email marketing campaigns using platforms such as Mailchimp.
• Writing and distributing press releases to promote the organization's initiatives.
• Creating and managing content for blogs and social media platforms.
Education and legal experience a plus
• Mastery in Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe InDesign is required
• Proficiency in Assertion Markup Language (AML) is necessary
• Familiarity with Content Management System (CMS) is a must
• Experience in creating advertisements and blogging is essential
• Strong understanding of brand awareness strategies
• Proven ability in designing and producing brochures
• Experience in campaign planning is crucial
• Proficiency in email marketing and use of email marketing platforms
• Skilled in composing and writing press releases
• Knowledge of communication law is necessary
