Job Title: People and Projects Liaison

Job Summary: The People and Projects Liaison will serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions and concerns, providing support and guidance on HR-related matters. Additionally, this role will assist various HR projects, ensuring they align with our strategic goals all while engaging with various stakeholders.
Salary: Based on experience (Please provide bill rate with all resumes submittals)
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for employees, addressing questions and concerns related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Provide support and guidance on employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Support HR projects by developing project plans, timelines, and milestones.
- Monitor project progress, make necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion, and communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with HR Team members and other departments to achieve project objectives
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant labor laws.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years’ progressive experience in a HR generalist and/or HR project liaison role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Respectful and professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culture change agent in a union environment
- Experience in a blended HR role
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Preference given to those with prior union experience, especially ILWU/OCU
