    Overview:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional to oversee our company’s financial operations, internal controls, and payroll functions. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting operational efficiency.     Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Management:

    • Oversee daily, monthly, and year-end accounting functions.
    • Maintain and update financial records.
    • Reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries.
    • Develop the annual financial budget and generate monthly variance reports.
    • Monitor and update bank data on a daily basis.
    • Manage financial aspects of construction service projects, including budgeting, invoicing, accounts receivable/payable, purchase orders, and monthly reporting.
    • Process all project-related and non-project-related payments.
    • Track and reconcile credit card transactions, update data weekly or bi-weekly, and ensure reimbursables are properly recorded.

    Operational Support & Compliance:

    • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
    • Collaborate with Operations and Project Management teams to oversee financial documentation, budget adherence, and project profitability.
    • Manage payments related to business licenses and renewals.
    • Handle credit applications and process sales tax exemption requests.
    • Administer and track certifications across all business locations, including applications, renewals, and payments.
    • Identify and report financial inconsistencies, potential risks, and recommendations to management.

    Payroll & Employee Expense Management:

    • Process payroll and payroll tax filings.
    • Maintain accurate PTO tracking and reporting for each pay period.
    • Manage updates and changes within payroll and benefits systems.
    • Process and oversee employee expense reports and reimbursements.
    • Generate employee utilization reports as needed.
    • Maintain and update employee records within the HR system (currently NetSuite).


    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Strong background in accounting; CPA designation preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Experience with NetSuite.
    • Familiarity with CMMC, DCAA, and Federal invoicing platforms is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new software systems.

    Education & Experience:

    • CPA certification preferred.
    • Minimum of five years of experience working with GAAP.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to work for extended periods at a desk and operate a computer.
