Robert Half is hiring! We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer in the Manufacturing industry. This role will primarily involve designing and maintaining an efficient data architecture, data integration solutions, and data models, as well as managing databases and establishing data governance policies.
Responsibilities:
• Develop a robust and secure data architecture using Azure services, SQL Server, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform
• Design and implement data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Link, Logic Apps, and Power Automate to ensure seamless data flow across multiple systems
• Create and upkeep conceptual, logical, and physical data models in line with the business requirements and overall data strategy
• Provide recommendations for database design, performance tuning, and optimization for SQL Server and Azure SQL Database environments
• Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all data systems
• Continuously monitor and optimize data systems and data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend data requirements and deliver effective solutions
• Create detailed documentation for data architecture, including design specifications, data dictionaries, and operational procedures
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data architecture and recommend improvements to enhance data management capabilities
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data availability and reliability
• Proficiency in Cloud Technologies is required, with a focus on implementing and maintaining cloud-based data systems.
• Must possess strong skills in Data Visualization, capable of translating complex findings into understandable charts and graphs.
• Solid background in Analytics, with the ability to analyze large data sets to derive actionable insights.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, including its configuration and customization, to support business processes.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is essential.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
• Must have a strong understanding of various data structures and common methods in data transformation.
• Should have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on troubleshooting and finding solutions in a timely manner.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
