Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support organizational planning.
Analyze financial performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
Evaluate and monitor actual vs. budgeted financial performance, identifying variances and suggesting corrective actions.
Data Collection & Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and present financial data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
Prepare financial reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, including senior management and department heads.
Develop and maintain dashboards to track key financial metrics relevant to educational programs and initiatives.
Cost Control & Efficiency:
Monitor spending patterns across departments and projects, ensuring that financial resources are being utilized effectively.
Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and areas for financial improvement.
Conduct cost-benefit analysis for new projects, investments, or educational initiatives.
Grant & Fund Management:
Track and analyze financial aspects of grants and funding, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
Provide financial support for grant applications, ensuring proper allocation of funds for educational projects and initiatives.
Compliance & Financial Policies:
Assist with ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and organizational policies.
Participate in audits and internal control assessments to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
Collaboration & Communication:
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support academic and operational goals.
Work closely with senior leadership to understand strategic objectives and provide financial recommendations to help achieve them.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar role. Experience in the education sector is a plus.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and financial reporting tools.
Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ability to present complex financial data in a clear, concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
