We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Mortgage - Document Reviewer Basic (1-3 years) to join our team based in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves managing documentation, processing collateral for a portfolio of loans, and providing excellent customer service. You will be expected to maintain a high level of organization, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and think analytically to resolve discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct audits, manage inventory, and process shipments of collateral files for loans funded by our customers.
• Respond to Loan Status Requests, Verification of Mortgages, and other requests from various departments within the Bank and external companies.
• Maintain and update the status of each collateral file on our systems for clients, and keep related records.
• Prepare necessary documents or assist in their preparation.
• Coordinate the receipt and transfer of assets with different internal and external parties.
• Respond to standard inquiries about loans from bankers or external customers.
• Use Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft tools effectively.
• Display strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly when interacting with clients.
• Exhibit proficiency in research and analysis, particularly when identifying and resolving routine discrepancies.
• Show strong supervisory skills, particularly when reconciling custodial reporting of Mortgage Finance clients.
• Perform clerical duties and shipping functions efficiently.
• Demonstrate knowledge about time management and finance.
• Use Zoom for communication when necessary.
• Demonstrable customer service skills, preferably within the finance sector
• Proven experience in handling and reviewing documentation
• Proficiency in reporting, able to present data clearly and concisely
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in conducting research and audit tasks
• Prior experience in a supervisory role is beneficial
• Familiarity with 'About Time' software considered an asset
• Basic understanding of finance and auditing principles
• Experience in reconciliations and shipping functions
• Able to perform clerical duties efficiently
• Experience in handling and reviewing financial notes
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in receipt and discrepancy management
• Understanding of shipping procedures in a loan administration context
• Experience in loan origination and verification processes
• Ability to conduct research analysis accurately
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and individually
• Proficiency in using Zoom for virtual meetings and communications.
