A respected company in Encinitas, CA, is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee their accounting operations. Core Responsibilities

• Accounting Oversight: Manage all bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
• Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly, ensuring accuracy of financial records.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, profit and loss summaries, and balance sheets on a monthly basis.
• General Ledger Activities: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring proper classifications and timely postings.
• Tax Preparation Support: Collaborate with external CPAs for tax preparation by organizing financial data and preparing necessary schedules.
• Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining best practices in accounting controls.

• Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is strongly preferred; certification in bookkeeping (e.g., CB or CPB) highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience, preferably in a small to mid-size organization.
• Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks (Desktop or Online), proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with payroll software.
• Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of GAAP and best practices in small business accounting.
• Attributes: Highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
