A Robert Half client is in the process of expanding their team and are currently seeking a Senior Accounting & Reporting Analyst. The role primarily involves the application of GAAP Accounting principles and SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley regulations in a materials and manufacturing industry setting. Responsibilities:
• Apply knowledge of US GAAP and SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley in accounting processes
• Conduct audits as required and ensure compliance with relevant standards
• Manage month-end activities, ensuring all financial reporting is completed on time
• Analyze financial variances, identifying key trends and financial status
• Use SAP for various accounting tasks, ensuring optimal utilization of this ERP system
• Maintain accurate records and perform reconciliations as part of regular duties
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• MBA, CPA or CMA highly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting or financial reporting role within Big Four Public Accounting or Large Regional Public Accounting Firm
• Proficient experience with US GAAP is required
• Knowledge and understanding of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley regulations
• Proven experience in conducting audits
• Proficiency in SAP software is required
• Demonstrated ability in variance analysis
• Experience in managing month-end close processes
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is desirable
