    We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and oversee all human resource functions across our client's organization. This individual will play a critical role in fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture while bringing a strategic focus to human resources operations. The role requires a professional who thrives on communication and collaboration, with the ability to support employees at all levels and serve as a trusted adviser to leadership.

    The role is fully onsite in Dubuque, IA, with limited travel to regional locations (primarily within the Midwest).


    Key Responsibilities:

    Employee Relations:

    • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries.
    • Partner with managers across divisions to address employee management issues, providing guidance on more complex challenges.
    • Maintain a consistent presence to promote an open-door policy and ensure employees feel supported and heard.

    Human Resources Operations:

    • Oversee benefits management, payroll inquiries (via ADP), training & development, and compliance with policies and procedures.
    • Lead initiatives to refine job descriptions and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed.
    • Ensure alignment with organizational goals while managing expectations across diverse teams.

    Strategic Support:

    • Participate in leadership discussions, offering HR updates and strategic recommendations while navigating varying perspectives from leadership.
    • Support leadership transition and succession planning efforts, addressing challenges and maintaining alignment with organizational vision.
    • Foster a culture of employee engagement, alignment, and professional growth.

    Safety Responsibilities (Optional):

    • Lead safety program initiatives if qualified. Candidates without safety expertise will not be responsible for this function.

    1. HR Expertise: Full-scope HR experience, including employee relations, benefits management, and compliance.
    2. Leadership and Communication Skills: The maturity, professionalism, and interpersonal skills to navigate all levels of the organization.
    3. Attitude and Adaptability: A positive, approachable personality with resilience to address challenges effectively.

    Qualifications:

    • Broad HR experience, including employee relations, benefits management, compliance, and familiarity with HRIS systems (experience with ADP is a strong plus).
    • Experience managing transitions or leadership succession planning is highly desirable.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred; however, significant experience, personality, and attitude are paramount.
    • SHRM/PHR or other certifications are a bonus.
