We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Java Developer in the banking industry, located in Dorchester, Massachusetts. As a Sr. Java Developer, your primary role will be to engineer efficient and reliable software solutions using your expertise in Java and related technologies. This role involves interacting with different vendor platforms and databases.

Responsibilities
• Design and develop software applications using Java language.
• Interact with Apache Kafka or Solace for real-time data streaming services.
• Work with databases like Sybase or Oracle to manage and organize data.
• Develop APIs with vendor platforms such as ION, Bloomberg, Murex, Broadridge, TransFICC, or Broadway.
• Monitor and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the team to design and implement software solutions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Java Developer in the banking industry.
• Proficient in Java programming language.
• Experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming.
• Proficient in using Sybase database management system.
• Experience with Oracle database administration.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg terminal for financial analysis.
• Experience with Murex platform for trading, risk management and processing.
