    Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for supporting legal operations? We are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join our client and assist an attorney specializing in workers' compensation law. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and professional operation of a legal practice.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Administrative and Clerical Support

    • Manage the attorney's calendar, including scheduling client meetings, depositions, hearings, and case-related appointments.
    • Draft, edit, and proofread legal correspondence, pleadings, briefs, and other case documents using Microsoft Office and specialized legal software.
    • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring timely updates and easy accessibility for the attorney.

    Client Interaction and Communication

    • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on their cases and assisting with obtaining necessary documentation or records.
    • Handle phone calls, emails, and case inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.

    Case Preparation and Management

    • Conduct preliminary case research, gather records, and prepare materials like case summaries, exhibits, and witness information for depositions, hearings, and trials.
    • Ensure compliance with filing deadlines and court requirements specific to workers’ compensation cases.

    Compliance and Risk Management

    • Monitor case deadlines to maintain compliance and reduce risk of errors.
    • Assist the attorney with navigating regulations and statutes within the workers' compensation field.

    Technology and Data Management

    • Utilize legal practice management systems to oversee client data, track case progress, and monitor key performance metrics.
    • Leverage AI and automation tools for document drafting, case tracking, and research.

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Legal Knowledge: Proficiency in workers’ compensation laws, court processes, and legal terminology.
    • Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management and task prioritization abilities.
    • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, legal billing software, and document management systems.
    • Client Service Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to handle sensitive client interactions with professionalism and empathy.
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Resourceful and proactive in addressing business and client needs.

    A background in paralegal studies, legal administration, or equivalent on-the-job experience is preferred.
