    Our Client, a leading full-service law firm, is looking for an experienced bankruptcy litigation legal assistant to join their team in Downtown Dallas.  Legal Assistant candidates must have at least 5 years’ experience supporting litigation attorneys in the bankruptcy section . E-filing with the court systems at the federal level using PACER, strong Microsoft skills, and the ability to work well in a team are required.  Our client offers a very competitive pay and a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k + match, vacation/sick/personal time off, and work from home days. 

     

    As a Bankruptcy Legal Assistant, your duties will include:

    ·      Provide department support by drafting correspondence, memoranda and other legal documents (i.e. pleadings, briefs, subpoenas, summonses, discovery request)

    ·      Prepare files and/or binders for trial, hearings, depositions and meetings.

    ·      Manage document databases and coordinate electronic discovery proceedings with litigation support team.

    ·      E-file documents in bankruptcy courts using PACER.

    ·      Prepare and submit expense reports and attorney billables.

    ·      Flexibility to work overtime occasionally.

    ·      Other administrative duties as assigned.


     


    Qualifications

     ·     Minimum 5 years’ experience as a litigation legal assistant, preferably in Bankruptcy

    ·      Strong Word Processing Skills

    ·      Exceptional grammar, spelling and proofreading skills

    ·      Fundamental knowledge of legal terminology, court rules and procedures

    ·      Federal e-filing experience

    ·      Friendly, organized and reliable.
