We are offering a Contract employment opportunity for a Call Center Specialist located in Columbia, South Carolina. The role involves working in an in-person office setting where you'll be providing excellent customer service and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
• Answering incoming calls and using our internal system, to assist people with their benefits applications
• Ensuring accurate and efficient processing of benefits applications
• Maintaining detailed and precise customer records
• Resolving customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions as necessary
• Applying critical thinking skills to handle complex customer service situations
• Maintaining detail oriented communication in a call center environment
• Adhering to business casual dress code during working hours
• Reporting regularly to the contact center supervisor.
• Proficiency in Call Center Customer Service is mandatory.
• Exceptional Customer Service skills are required.
• Experience and competence in Answering Multi-Line Phone System is essential.
• Previous experience in a non-profit environment is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and high call volumes.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly.
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; further education in a relevant field will be a plus.
• Willingness to work on a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Multilingual skills would be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of CRM systems and practices is beneficial.
• A positive, patient, and empathetic attitude towards callers.
