We are seeking a skilled Service Desk Technician to join our team. This role is based in Mentor, Ohio, and operates within the IT industry. As a Service Desk Technician, you will be primarily responsible for providing first-tier support to our team members, handling inquiries, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, and maintaining comprehensive records of your interactions with customers.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the first point of contact for our employees, providing top-tier Service Desk support.
• Handle phone-based queries and issues from end-users swiftly and effectively.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with hardware, software, and business applications.
• Keep comprehensive records of customer interactions and the steps taken to troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct repairs related to computer hardware and software.
• Provide support to facilities across various locations, including remote and home-based users.
• Monitor the ticketing system and respond to assignments promptly.
• Escalate issues as necessary, notifying the appropriate IT resources.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide Service Desk support outside of regular hours.
• Configure and deploy mobile devices, and manage wireless administration.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures and knowledge articles.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role as a Service Desk Technician
• Proficiency in managing License Agreements
• Deep understanding of Desktop Hardware
• Strong experience in providing Desktop Support
• Proven ability to provide Remote Desktop Support
• Skilled in Break Fix methodologies
• Experience in IT project management
• Familiarity with the ServiceNow Platform
