We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team in the machinery manufacturing industry located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The selected candidate will be responsible for various tasks including analyzing cost data, maintaining cost accounting systems, and providing financial analysis support.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing and interpreting cost data to prepare detailed cost reports

• Collaborating with production and engineering teams to manage and control costs

• Monitoring and reporting on manufacturing costs, identifying variances and trends

• Maintaining and updating cost accounting systems to ensure accurate cost allocation

• Preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts

• Conducting financial analysis to support strategic decision-making

• Developing financial models to evaluate business performance and opportunities

• Providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance

• Performing other related duties as required.

• Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a Cost Accounting role within the Machinery Manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• A strong understanding of Epicor is required

• Competency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary

• Applicant must be well-versed in Accounting Functions

• Auditing skills are crucial for this role

• Knowledge of Budget Processes is a necessity

• Applicant must have experience in Cash Activity

• Expertise in Cost Accounting is required
