In this pivotal role, you will oversee key financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and provide valuable insights to support strategic decision-making within the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee activities such as reconciliations, journal entries, and year-end closings.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial reports, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to management.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and assist in preparing tax filings.
- Audit Support: Lead preparation for internal and external audits, including developing schedules and providing necessary documentation to auditors.
- Internal Controls: Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
- Team Collaboration: Provide mentorship and guidance to entry-level accounting staff, fostering professional growth and team effectiveness.
- Cross-Functional Initiatives: Collaborate with other teams, such as Finance, Operations, and Tax, to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Process Improvement: Assist in system improvements and automation initiatives to optimize and streamline accounting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, with a minimum of [Insert years, e.g., 4–6+ years] working in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, with solid experience in financial reporting and general ledger operations.
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as [QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or relevant systems] and Microsoft Excel.
