    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Tax Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing various tax returns for individuals and businesses, offering tax planning recommendations, and conducting tax research - all while adhering to current tax laws and regulations.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations
    2. Assist with the tax planning strategies for clients
    3. Perform research on tax laws and regulations to ensure accuracy in tax advice and compliance
    4. Update tax planning strategies to reflect changes in tax laws
    5. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to provide optimal service to clients
    6. Identify opportunities for process improvements to optimize tax preparation procedures
    7. Stay updated on industry trends and developments in tax law
    8. Support audit and litigation related to tax matters when needed


    Job Requirements:

    1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is preferred
    3. Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures
    4. Familiarity with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
    5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail
    6. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    7. Ability to handle confidential information discretely
    8. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    10. Strong commitment to professional and service excellence
