As a Patient Registration Representative, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring a positive patient experience throughout the registration process and adhering to organizational policies and procedures for the resolution of patient financial liability.
Responsibilities:
· Appropriate patient identification.
· Collecting accurate and thorough patient demographic data.
· Obtaining insurance information and verifying eligibility and benefits.
· Determining and collecting patient financial liability and e Referring patients to the Patient Registration Specialist as needed for assistance with financial counseling and/or clearance.
· The Patient Registration Representative adheres to the organization's policies and procedures for resolution of patient financial liability.
• Knowledge of various procedures and policies related to patient care and hospital administration
• Understanding of insurance policies, benefits functions, and reimbursements to handle patient billing and financial matters
• Familiarity with concepts of liability and offshore operations in a healthcare setting
• Ability to accurately record and maintain patient demographic information for hospital records
• Experience in patient registration and familiarity with the registration process
• Skills in financial counseling to assist patients with understanding their healthcare costs
• Knowledge of patient financial matters and ability to handle such concerns with sensitivity
• Familiarity with TRICARE, NIS, and other healthcare programs and systems
• Respect and understanding of patient rights to ensure ethical and respectful treatment of all patients.
