CONTROLLER - New Manufacturing Facility in Hall County
My client, a manufacturer in Hall County, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Controller to join their dynamic team in Hall County. The Controller role will support key manufacturing financial operations under the direction of the Head of Finance & Controlling. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing cost analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, and driving process improvements to optimize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a standard costing approach, performing variance analysis with leadership
- Harmonize labor and machine hourly rate calculations
- Manage and report on capital expenditures monthly
- Maintain and update cost center and work center data structures and settlement rules
- Support the budgeting process, including COGS, operating expenses, and non-manufacturing costs
- Oversee inventory management and monthly reporting on obsolete inventory
- Lead accurate and timely closing procedures
- Support balance sheet reconciliations and audits
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and process improvements within the team
- Support manufacturing accounting improvements and the application of accounting policies and procedures
- Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing finance or controlling role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Strong experience with SAP is highly preferred, however will consider another large ERP system
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with large, complex datasets
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting deadlines
- Ability to collaborate well with diverse teams and stakeholders
