We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the legal industry, based in Boston, Massachusetts. The Controller will be the exclusive financial individual within the team, responsible for managing all financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain Tabs3
- Review and process client invoices through Tabs3
- Maintain IOLTA accounts
- Oversight and review of all general ledger transactions
- Oversight of the 1099 process
- Cash management including deposits, cash flow budget and projections
- Bank reconciliations
- Payroll processing
- Manage the monthly and annual financial review including assisting in the development and monitoring of the revenue and expense budgets
- Identify, own and manage projects and systems that introduce and improve processes used by the Legal team. Coordinate with law firm administrator
- Liaison with outside CPA
- 5+ years of hands on accounting experience.
- Law firm is ideal, but must have some Professional Services experience (billable hours)
- Can work well with all levels of the organization
- Experience with Tabs3 or similar software preferred
