Robert Half is looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst for our client in the western suburbs. In this role, the Sr. Financial Analyst will be expected to handle complex financial responsibilities, contribute to the financial health of the organization, and work closely with senior management to support strategic decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to guide business decisions and forecast future financial scenarios
• Oversee the administration of contracts, reviewing Statements of Work (SOW) and Change Orders (CO)
• Actively participate in the month-end close activities including accruals, journal entries, and invoice support
• Develop and implement new processes across various cross-functional partners
• Take charge of maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all financial records and reports
• Contribute to annual business planning exercises, providing financial insights and recommendations
• Use advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SAP, and other financial software to expedite daily tasks
• Leverage your understanding of Fixed Assets and general accounting concepts to enhance the financial reporting process.
This position offers a salary range of $70,000-$90,000 and comes with a full benefit package including medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, holidays, hybrid schedule.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Wholesale Distribution industry
• Proven expertise in Financial Analysis and Financial Reporting
• Demonstrated experience with Fixed Assets and Month End Close procedures
• Prior involvement in Annual Planning and Contract Administration
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP software is required
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
