We are on the search for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Caldwell, Idaho. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing the processing of payroll for both union and non-union employees in multiple states. Ensuring compliance with wage laws, union agreements, and tax regulations will also fall under your purview. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the processing of multi-state payroll for both union and non-union employees, ensuring all state and federal labor laws are adhered to.
• Administer prevailing wage payroll, complying with the Davis-Bacon Act and Service Contract Act requirements.
• Handle payroll tax filings, deductions, wage garnishments, and benefits administration across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring all are done accurately and promptly.
• Regularly maintain and reconcile payroll records, auditing payroll transactions and promptly addressing any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Union representatives to ensure alignment of payroll processes with union agreements and wage determinations.
• Stay informed on multi-state tax laws, wage regulations, and union contract requirements to ensure payroll compliance.
• Generate payroll reports and assist with audits, including internal reviews and external labor compliance audits.
• Manage timekeeping systems and ensure accurate reporting of hours worked, including overtime and shift differentials.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now
• Knowledge of Ceridian
• Ability to work with Dayforce
• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration
• Proficiency in About Time software
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in Auditing
• Knowledge of Benefit Functions
• Proficiency in using Paychex software
• Experience with Paychex Payroll system
