The ideal candidate should be well-versed in cases in medical negligence, with a focus on surgical and ER negligence, diagnosis delays, and birth trauma. Responsibilities:
-Thoroughly investigate potential medical malpractice cases to determine whether a viable claim exists.
-Conduct extensive research and collaborate with medical experts to establish proof of medical negligence.
-Prepare and draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, etc.
-Advise clients on their rights and possible outcomes, helping them make informed decisions.
-Negotiate with the opposition to reach fair settlement agreements when possible.
-Keep current with the latest legal and industry trends in medical malpractice law.
-Coordinate with paralegals and legal assistants in preparing for trials or hearings.
Requirements:
-Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
-Admission to the State Bar.
-2+ years of experience as a Medical Malpractice Attorney, specifically in cases involving surgical and ER negligence, diagnosis delays, and birth trauma.
-Exceptional negotiation, research and courtroom advocacy skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
-Proficient in using legal research software and platforms.
-Empathetic approach to client representation.
