We are seeking a NetOps Engineer to join our team in the financial services industry, located in BENSALEM, Pennsylvania. As a NetOps Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for supporting new projects, maintaining network security, and handling escalations. You will also be involved in the analysis of network security problems, working with vendors for problem resolution, and ensuring the timely completion of tasks and projects.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with multiple teams on projects of varying scopes, ensuring the successful and timely completion of each project.
• Lead the support for new projects, implementations, integrations, and handoffs to other teams.
• Maintain and improve network security infrastructure, including firewalls, NAC, IPS, and other network-based security systems.
• Conduct thorough reviews, audits, and remediation of network security devices for compliance with standards.
• Handle requests from other teams and business units efficiently and professionally.
• Analyze and diagnose reports of network security problems, documenting root cause, providing recommendations for remediation, and performing corrective actions.
• Work closely with vendors for problem escalation and resolution.
• Assist with vulnerability remediation and perform security hardening of network security systems.
• Provide troubleshooting support, diagnose problems, document root cause, and perform corrective actions.
• Design and implement processes to ensure high availability of all systems.
• Develop a working knowledge of the business side and interface effectively with all user areas.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the business impact of system changes and coherently explain and relate their impact to the affected users.
• Document internal support processes, procedures, and build runbooks for new systems.
• Applicant should have a strong background in Financial Services
• Position requires a NetOps Engineer
• Must possess expertise in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
• Proficiency in Checkpoint is essential
• Knowledge of Cisco ASA is required
• Experience in managing Cisco Routers is a must
• Familiarity with Cisco Technologies is expected
• Ability to perform AB Testing is necessary
• Proficiency in Backup Technologies is required
• Strong knowledge of Computer Hardware is expected
• Experience in Configuration Management is a plus
• Familiarity with Datacenter operations is necessary
