This is a critical role within our organization where you will be the primary authority for all cloud integration and development efforts. As a Senior API Developer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless communication between diverse systems while leveraging your expertise to create innovative solutions that drive business continuity and efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • API Development and Integration: Design, develop, and maintain Restful APIs to enable seamless communication between various cloud-based ERP systems, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
    • System Architecture and Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to assess business needs, define integration requirements, and design comprehensive API-driven solutions to meet those needs.
    • Cloud Integration: Serve as the in-house expert in integrating diverse cloud platforms, leveraging APIs, web services, and data flows to streamline business operations.
    • Data Management: Work extensively with JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) to structure, transmit, and interpret data between systems.
    • Development and Scripting: Use programming languages such as Python (or equivalent experience in other languages) to customize API solutions and enhance system functionality.
    • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for all APIs and system integrations, including use cases, workflows, and troubleshooting guidelines.
    • Mentoring and Leadership: Lead and mentor junior developers, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the development team.
    • Problem-Solving & Quality Assurance: Investigate API-related issues, debug code, and implement solutions to resolve connectivity and performance challenges. Maintain a strong focus on quality assurance to deliver error-free integrations.
    • Collaboration: Partner with IT teams, business analysts, and external vendors to understand workflows and assess how APIs can better support business requirements.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • API Development Expertise: Proven experience designing and building Restful APIs using modern frameworks and tools.
    • Cloud ERP Integration: Strong knowledge of cloud-based ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle Cloud, Workday) and their connectivity requirements.
    • JSON Proficiency: Extensive experience working with JSON for data transfer and API requests/responses.
    • Programming Knowledge: Proficiency in Python is highly desired, but comparable development experience in other languages (e.g., Java, Node.js, C#) is acceptable.
    • System Interoperability: Hands-on experience in integrating disparate systems or platforms using APIs, middleware, and scripting solutions.
    • Technical Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead large projects and serve as a trusted technical resource to guide cross-functional teams.
    • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset to troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges.
    • Documentation: Excellent ability to create clear, detailed, and comprehensive technical documentation.
    • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and Agile methodologies.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Hands-on experience with API gateways and management platforms (e.g., AWS API Gateway, Apigee, MuleSoft).
    • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and security best practices.
    • Experience with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Familiarity with advanced API concepts, such as authentication (OAuth2), throttling, and rate limiting.
    • Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) or ERP platforms are a plus.

    Soft Skills:

    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while handling multiple projects simultaneously.
