We are seeking a Sr. Accountant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States. The detail-oriented individual will be working in the real estate industry, focusing on spec home building, house flipping, and real estate brokerage. The role requires managing general accounting functions, overseeing property accounting, and supporting the financial needs of the company’s various ventures.

Responsibilities:
• Facilitate accurate and timely financial reporting with minimal supervision.
• Manage general accounting functions such as budgeting, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Oversee all aspects of property accounting, with a focus on multifamily real estate operations.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to support the financial needs of the company’s diverse ventures.
• Assist in the formulation of financial strategy, management of cash flow, and tracking of investments.
• Maintain and process customer credit applications efficiently.
• Ensure up-to-date customer credit records are maintained.
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when required.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably as a Senior Accountant.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ability to effectively reconcile all account discrepancies.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience, must be able to maintain and verify the accuracy of balance sheets.
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations, ensuring the company's bank accounts match our records.
• Solid understanding of General Ledger, capable of maintaining and improving the company's general ledger system.
• Experience in creating and maintaining Journal Entries, should be able to record all business transactions accurately.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, should be able to use advanced features for financial analysis and reporting.
• Must have experience in Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial data is recorded and reported accurately by the end of each month.
