    Our client is an established investment platform with a robust legal team (based in Baltimore County). They are looking to hire an Attorney who will provide broad-based legal counsel and support to the Company and its affiliated entities with respect to its real estate investments. The position requires in-depth knowledge of and experience in sophisticated real estate transactions. The Counsel will report to the General Counsel and will be based out of the Company’s Baltimore County, Maryland office where there is a hybrid in-office/remote work environment.


    Responsibilities:


    • Engage in the preparation of development agreements, construction contracts, management agreements and other related documents.

    • Undertake comprehensive due diligence reviews, with a specific emphasis on title and survey review.

    • Review and interpret community governance documents, such as declarations of covenants, homeowners’ association documents, and condominium documents.

    • Provide legal support to various departments in the company as required.

    • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including NDAs, operating agreements, partnership agreements, employment agreements, and vendor contracts.

    • Handle all documentation associated with real estate transactions including those related to acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, loans, development, asset management, and leasing.

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in commercial real estate, title searches, corporate transactions, and transactional law to ensure all work is compliant with current laws and regulations.

    • Possession of a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

    • Must be admitted to the state bar and in good standing.

    • A minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience in legal practice.

    • Proven expertise in Commercial Real Estate.

    • Proficiency in Transactional Law.

    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

    • Demonstrated high ethical standards and detail-oriented integrity.

    • Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
