We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Merced County market. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities crucial to maintaining the smooth operations of the financial department.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable invoices.
• Oversee the weekly processing of accounts payable payments.
• Implement effective communication strategies to address accounts payable issues with vendors and departments.
• Uphold the efficient and timely posting of expenditures into the accounting system.
• Reconcile accounts payable related accounts as needed.
• Maintain accurate 1099 records and ensure vendors are paid within established time limits.
• Handle heavy data entry of accounts payable invoices.
• Monitor payment terms to prevent overdue payments.
• Perform all aspects of the accounts payable functions.
• Maintain organized accounting records for ease of access and review.
• Applicant must have a minimum of 1 year experience in an Accounts Payable (AP) role
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is a must for the role
• Requires strong data entry skills
• Ability to effectively manage and process invoices
• Should possess good communication skills for handling vendor queries
• Understanding of financial regulations and legislation is expected
• Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of relevant accounting software is preferred
