    Seeking a full-time Experienced Staff Accountant position with a terrific company? This company, based in the Atlanta, Georgia area, offers a challenging and multi-faceted opportunity where effort is rewarded. Candidates with the ability to to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be preferred. Participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes are also expected tasks. This is a position you will thrive in, if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.


    Your responsibilities in this role


    - Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting


    - Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable


    - Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations


    - Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request


    - Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision


    - Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions


    - Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries


    - Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP


    - Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments


    - Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll


    - Take part in various department-wide initiatives


    - Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation


    - Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

    - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics


    - Experience with ERP systems


    - Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment


    - Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment


    - 1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience


    - Strong analytical capabilities and discernment


    - Journal entries experience


    - Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
