Product Designer (UX Focus) - B2B Customer Portals (Contract)

Role Overview:
We are looking for a contract Product Designer to focus on improving the UX of our B2B customer portals. This role requires a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into intuitive and engaging user interfaces. This is a 6-8 month contract position requiring 2 days per week onsite in Atlanta, GA, with a total of 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- User Research & Analysis: Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs and pain points.
- Analyze user data and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop user personas and user journey maps to inform design decisions.
- UX Design & Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for B2B customer portal features.
- Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that align with business requirements and user needs.
- Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across the portals.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing results.
- Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure successful implementation.
- Communicate design concepts and rationale effectively through presentations and documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Usability Testing & Iteration: Plan and execute usability tests.
- Analyze test results and iterate on designs to improve user experience.
- Document and present findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer, with a focus on B2B applications.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your UX design process and deliverables.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience designing complex data driven interfaces.
- Ability to work onsite in Atlanta, GA, 2 days a week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing customer portals or enterprise software.
- Knowledge of front-end development principles.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
