    We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer in the legal industry, with a focus on immigration and humanitarian law. The role is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and has the flexibility of remote work, with occasional visits to the local office.


    Responsibilities

    • Provide expert guidance on immigration law matters, particularly in relation to refugees, asylum seekers, unaccompanied minors, and individuals with contract protected status.
    • Stay updated with the changing rules and regulations of immigration agencies to ensure accurate advice is provided to clients.
    • Work in close collaboration with a paralegal manager and an administrative assistant to handle legal matters effectively.
    • Take care of existing clients by ensuring their ongoing legal needs are met and no one slips through the cracks due to backlogs.
    • Setup new matters in a way that aids in managing the increased demand and workload.
    • Use your language skills, preferably Spanish, to communicate with diverse clientele effectively.
    • Leverage your experience in immigration law to contribute to pro bono initiatives.
    • Required: JD, active U.S. state bar membership, 2–5+ years of immigration law experience.
    • Strong knowledge of immigration laws and processes (e.g., adjustment of status, waivers).
    • Excellent communication, advocacy, and case management skills.
    • Fluency in a second language (e.g., Spanish) is a plus.
