    Overview:

A well-established legal firm is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to join their team and handle eviction litigation matters. This role requires a proactive legal professional who can manage eviction cases from start to finish, provide legal counsel to clients, and represent them in court proceedings. While prior eviction litigation experience is preferred, it is not required.

This position is fully remote, allowing candidates to work from any U.S. state. However, an active California Bar license is required. Additional state bar admissions are a plus but not mandatory.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage an eviction caseload, including conducting legal research, drafting complaints, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other necessary legal documents.
    • Represent clients in court hearings, advocating effectively on their behalf. (Prior courtroom experience is preferred.)
    • Stay up to date on evolving eviction laws and industry trends across the U.S.
    • Educate and advise clients regarding legal developments affecting eviction processes.
    • Utilize the firm’s case management system to track case progress and ensure adherence to eviction timelines and client expectations.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be an active member of the California State Bar, in good standing, and compliant with all CLE requirements.
    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Minimum of one year of experience practicing law.
    • Experience in eviction, foreclosure, litigation, or title law is preferred but not required.

    Core Competencies:

    • Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Ability to effectively negotiate and resolve legal matters.
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Client-focused approach with the ability to build strong professional relationships.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and experience using case management systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to gain experience in eviction litigation while benefiting from the flexibility of a remote work environment. If you meet the qualifications and are ready to take the next step in your legal career, we encourage you to apply.
