    We are on the search for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in San Luis Obispo, California. In this role, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of meticulously managing payroll processes for our multi-state operation, ensuring both exempt and non-exempt employees are catered to. You will also keep abreast of all payroll laws and internal policies related to payroll and timekeeping.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring accurate and efficient handling of payroll processes for our multi-state business.
    • Handling prevailing wage payroll and associated compliance documentation.
    • Scrutinizing timecards for precision and necessary approvals.
    • Staying abreast of all existing and emerging payroll laws, including those related to prevailing wage and certified payroll.
    • Consistently updating knowledge on all company policies pertinent to payroll and timekeeping.
    • Facilitating the reconciliation of all payroll records with the accounting system and corresponding external systems.
    • Generating monthly, quarterly, and annual reports about employees and payroll.
    • Guaranteeing payroll reporting adheres to state and federal laws.
    • Leveraging skills in Paylocity, Microsoft Excel, Certified Payroll, and Prevailing Wage to efficiently execute duties.
    • Proficiency in using Paylocity software for payroll management
    • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
    • Possession of a Certified Detail Oriented Payroll (CDOP) certification
    • Knowledge and understanding of Prevailing Wage laws and regulations
