We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Project Assistant in Arlington, Virginia. As a Project Assistant, you will be integral to advancing our health initiatives by effectively managing projects, conducting research, and fostering relationships at various levels. Your role will span multiple initiatives, including involvement in various projects.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and reporting, ensuring alignment with community-based participatory research principles.
• Provide technical assistance on evidence-based programs related to health promotion, including chronic disease management and falls prevention.
• Build and maintain relationships with partners, funders, and advisory groups, and assist in the coordination of events such as webinars, roundtables, and other collaborative forums.
• Coordinate capacity-building activities, support data collection and analysis, and contribute to program learnings by creating presentations, reports, and other knowledge-sharing tools.
• Translate complex topics into clear, actionable information for stakeholders and contribute to awareness campaigns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Communications, and Research, to support health initiatives effectively.
• Manage financial processes, ensure compliance with grants, contracts, maintain data integrity, and manage systems such as Salesforce or other platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff.
• Excellent data entry skills, with an attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage timelines effectively, ensuring projects are completed on time.
• Organizational skills, particularly in file management, to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of information.
• Experience in scanning documents, ensuring clarity and readability for digital storage.
• Knowledge of shipping functions, including packaging, labeling, and tracking shipments.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
